Mary was always very helpful to my father with all things related to town affairs when he was alive. I guess that’s where I got to know her while filing my own construction permits down at town hall. I would stop down on a Saturday morning and darn if 2 hours had not passed every time I went there. Lol! Mary could somehow have 10 things going in her head at one time but somehow it all came together. My greatest regret was not taking the time to pick her brain on all things historical to the town and my family history but that I guess is a lesson learned. She will be missed. RIP Mary. Bob Paddock

Mary and I were great friends when we were in Catholic school. I'm so sorry we lost touch when we both married. She was the kind of friend you cannot replace. I always hoped we could reconnect. It was a sad day today when I learned she had passed just days ago. I pray for the peace and comfort of Jesus to surround her family and all those who love her still. I'm sorry for the family's loss, I knew Mary when I was a teenager, she invited me into her house at the request of her son Jason, who was a good friend. Odd how throughout life we grow apart, yet always remember those special people we have known that have made a positive impact on our lives, Thank you Mary for inviting me into your life and thank you for being a great person to our community, you will be missed. The loss of Mary is a loss to all of us. She dedicated many years of her life to the Town of Western for that we are thankful. I will remember her with a smile on her face for doing what she loved to do every day. Rest in Peace Mary!

Mary & I were like “Tom & Jerry”when I was on the town board. We often had differences of opinion. BUT, when the meetings were over, there was never any animosity. I remember one time in particular, when after a meeting, Mary came to my house, and we proceeded to eat a watermelon together. A whole watermelon…yes, it was a small watermelon, but really…I will continue to remember you Mary, especially when I’m enjoying the sweet summer fruit. Rest in peace Mary.

I met Mary for the first time at a cousins reunion in Oswego. Her father and my father , Joseph were brothers. She was a very interesting person and helped fill in family history I had no idea of.
