I am deeply saddened by the loss of my beloved friend, Major James H. Page. It is difficult to say farewell to a good friend, - it is much harder when that friend happens to be one of your heroes, too. There are not enough superlatives to describe this man's life. Suffice to say, - Jim was a man of integrity. That is the highest compliment I can pay to any man. He was a man, who some would say, - "wore his heart on his sleeve", - his love and pride of his lovely wife Peg, and beautiful family often entered into conversations. The only 'pride' he ever expressed was for the accomplishments of his children, grand-children and great grand-children. Jim was, to me, a teacher, a mentor, and inspiration. The Page family, our community, and America has truly lost one of it's finest sons. Major Jim will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered by all who knew him, and were lucky enough to call him "Friend'. "So long, Major Jim, - it's been good to know you." My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to the Page family at this difficult time. Honor the Major in your daily lives, do like the Major would, - Live with integrity. Rest in Peace Brother, - I'll see you on the other side.
