Obituary of Christopher J. Rhodes

Christopher J. Rhodes, Jr., 26, of Rome, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Newport News, VA, on October 27, 1996, a son of Christopher J. Rhodes, Sr. and Krystal Waters. He was a 2016 graduate of Camden High School.

Chris was currently employed at Kris Tech Wire in Rome. He loved to train at the gym in MMA and boxing. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his dirt bike and four-wheelers with his friends.

Chris is survived by his mother, Krystal Allen (Bill); sister, Taylor Post; brother, Billy Allen; grandparents, Celina Mosher (Dan), Elizabeth Post, Tom Post (Mary Anne) and Rose Wishart; his second father, Thomas Post; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his beloved cat, Chung Li. He was predeceased by his father, Christopher.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30th at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440.  Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 4-6:00 p.m.
