Obituary of Winifred P. Come

Winifred P. Come, 75, of Taberg, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Rome Health. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 17, 1947, a daughter of the late James and Maureen (Kelly) Ridley. She was a graduate of Camden High School and on August 13, 1966, she was united in marriage to Clayton Come, Jr.

Winifred worked for many years at Farnsworth Printing in Camden and later Cathedral Corp. in Rome.

She was a 28 year member of the Meeker-O’Rourke American Legion Ladies Unit 1309 in Taberg as well as a lifetime member of the LZ Old Corp. and former member of the NY Civil Defense.

Surviving besides her loving husband of 56 years, Clayton, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Nancy Come and Daniel and Heather Come; five grandchildren, Jacob Come (Casey), Meaghan Come (Richard), Zack Harosia, Amanda Huntley (Harold) and Scott Come; four great-grandchildren, Jack Huntley, Reighlyn Come, Kasen Lathrop-Henderson and Osianna Halstead; two sisters and four brothers; a special friend and sister-in-law, Carol Come; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 27^th at 12:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Taberg. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Wednesday, April 26^th from 4-7:00 p.m.
