From Mason Arnesen, grandson
If there is something I learned in life is that lost is going to happen someday, and that you need to be strong to get threw the pain but also crying the pain away helps. I made this post to show everyone in my eyes what my grandpa was to me.
My grandpa was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a great photographer, that’s where I get it. But mostly my grandpa wasn’t just a grandpa, he was my role model, no matter how hard shit gets in life, he would always keep pushing. He was my Bestfriend, he was there when I needed advice, a friend to hang out with, he was there if I needed someone to talk to if nobody was a available, he was the one person I could talk to when I didn’t talk to anyone else. Most of all tho he was my hero. Just hearing all his war stories or all the stuff he went threw in the war and all the pain he went to when he came back or watched movies and explained the machinery and the world history. He was my history teacher. He was one person that showed me who I truly was when I needed to be reminded of who I was. He’s my older version ( don’t have the photo yet), but when he was younger he look just like me. So no matter what happens in this world or life in general, I know that I’m able to get threw thick and thin situations because my grandpa helped me out
That’s not it tho..
Even tho he was a asshole or a dick to us, no matter what he knew we always always loved him. He was a family guy, he was a comedian, he was the grandpa that everybody would of wanted. No matter what happened in the family he would mare sure everyone was set and was comfortable in their life. He would put people needs before his. He was a kind and generous person and honestly I’m happy your up there, your not in pain no more, you can walk, see your doggo, Nana and uncle Mike and etc, but the one thing that everyone needs to understand, he’s not gone because he will always have a part of him inside us
