It's a sad day for me knowing that my good friend Paul passed away. Although I was not able to see him like I wanted too, nor as often. I was always reminded of him when I would pass by his old homestead. Paul and I had many a good chat along with some very troubling times during the 3-year strike at Rome Cable, but he never wavered from his conviction of trying (along with the committee) to obtain a just resolution to end the conflict. We hunted together, worked together and enjoyed each other's company while maintaining our friendship. I became a mechanic while at Rome Cable and Paul was a first-Class auto mechanic willing to help anyone. He had a great many friends, and I hope he considered me one of them? He had a way of busting the chops of anyone, and never make them mad. Although the later years had taken a toll on him health wise, he always remained in good spirits. I will miss him dearly. I can only say to the Family; your hearts will be heavy for a while, but just remember the good times, and may God grant you peace.
