June M. Paprocki, 94, of Rome, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at her home. She was born in Rome on July 3, 1927, a daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Pfieffer) West, Sr. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.
June worked for the City of Rome for many years. Prior to that, she owned and operated the Golden Anchor Restaurant in Clayton, NY, with her husband.
She was member of St. Mary’s/St. Peter’s Church and Henry P. Smith Post #24 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an active bocce player and loved riding horses in horseshows.
June is survived by two daughters, Christine Sears (Howard) and Cindy Paprocki; six sons, Henry Paprocki Jr. (Ann), David Paprocki (Gwenyth), James Paprocki (Dawn), Robert Paprocki, Charles Paprocki (Joan) and Michael Paprocki (Dorothy); a sister, Betty Dowd; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William West, Jr., and the father of her children, Henry Paprocki.
June’s family would to give a heartfelt thank you to Heidi, Morgan, Emileigh, Linda, Kim, Maryanne and Dr. Dimarco for their loving care dedication given to June and her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 4th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in June’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, CNY Chapter, Franklin Square Station Box 1226, Syracuse, NY 13218.
