This is a lady we will never forget. She had a big heart and she was certainly appreciated by us. The summer of 1968 we had to move to Rome because our two young children were deaf and needed to become students at the New York State School for the Deaf. We were young and did not know anyone in Rome and we had $35 in our pockets. We had made several trips to Rome looking for employment and a place to live. We waited for the newspaper to come out one day before we went back home which was more than 100 miles from Rome. We saw one new listing for an apartment on North Jay Street. We were NOT familiar with Rome but when we arrived we thought that it was on the back side of NYSSD.!! There were 4 other people there also wanting that apartment but for some reason, this "angel" told the others that it was rented. She told us not to worry about a down payment. It was a safe place for us to move to and across the street was the school that we needed. We took care of the property. We lived there for many years. We are sorry for your loss. I'm very sorry to hear about June. She was a childhood friend of my father's (Frank Razzano) in Rome. I remember when June worked in downtown Rome. She was such a kind person and dedicated to her job. My sister remembered her too - she added a condolence also.May you find comfort and strength in your memories of June.
Thinking of you all,
Ann Razzano

June grew up with my father Matthew F Razzano. She
Called him Frankie. My father opened a Variety Store on the Mall and June was working for the Parking Authority.
She always came in & got coffee and she would tell me stories about my father when he was a kid.I wouldn't
have known all the good things he did as a kid if it wasn't for June telling me.We talked about other things too..I appreciated her stories & I'm so glad I met her.She was a kind gentle sweet person & again,I'm so glad I met her.

Remembering the last time I saw Aunt June.
I was meeting Bud for lunch in Fulton and he brought his mother.
She was so glad to see me, and I her! The BIGGEST hug.
Made me feel so special.
Thanks Buddy for giving me one more memory of my godmother.
Condolences to all who loved her. June was one of the great ones
