Nanci, I know you won't remember me. I lived next door to you for about a year in 1968. My husband was stationed at Griffiss AFB and we had a son your age, Robert, and a younger daughter also named Nancy. Your mother and father were the nicest neighbors, and I spent many hours chatting with them.
Your mother and I exchanged Christmas cards and news every year for over 50 years. When I didn't hear from her this year I was concerned as she had written of health issues being more prevalent in recent years. As I have done too often lately, I checked for her obituary online and was so sorry to see she had passed just recently.
She was always so proud of you, and I know you must miss her every day. Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family. I will always remember your mother as one of the nicest persons I ever had as a neighbor.
