Bloomfield St., Rome, died on January 22, 2008, in Rome Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born on February 5, 1937, in Oneida, the daughter of Bartholomew and Laura Wright Bryson. She attended Canastota Central Schools. Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Bryson and Gregory Bryson, both of Rome; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer and Lynn Russell, Rockville, MD, and Melissa Bryson, of Rome; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Laurel Bryson, Saratoga Springs, and Stewart and Patricia Bryson, Canastota; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joan was predeceased by a daughter, Melinda Bryson, and a grandson, Tyler Bryson Funeral services will be held at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at 6:00PM. Interment will take place at Rathbunville Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Joan's memory to the Humane Society of Rome, P.O.
