He was born November 29, 1946 in Malone the son of Clarence and Evelyn Allen Russell. Donald was educated in Rome. On April 7, 1979 he married Carlene Stevens in Rome. He was heavy equipment operator employed by Santaro's in Perryville, New York retiring in 1999. Donald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters and a son-in-law, Tina and Timothy Lipphardt, Lee Center; Karen Luczynski and Ace Myers and, Clarissa Russell and Erin Adsit, all of Rome; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Joseph Russell, Buffalo; Kit and Amy DiStefano and Michael and Tammy Stevens, all of Rome; two sisters, Diane Russell, Linda Russell, both of Rome; seven brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert Russell, Rome; Terry and Dawn Russell, Verona; Roger Russell, Rome;Ricky Russell and Sherry Pratt, Taberg; Michael Russell, Joseph and Gina Russell, and Clarence Russell, all of Rome; twenty-seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
