Taylor, Sr., 70, of Rome, died August 18, 2007 in Rome Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born November 13, 1936, in Rome, the son of Harold and Grace Romano Taylor. He was educated in Rome schools. Bob was previously married to the former Marjorie Godin. Mr. Taylor was a self-employed barber for several years. He was veteran of the US Marine Corps and served during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of St. Peter's Church. Bob was a loving father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed. Robert is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Roberta and Michael Temple, North Dakota, Landra and Dale Dapson, Fairview Heights, IL, Sharon and Michael Garrison, Troy, IL, and Patience Wilson, Rome; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Nancy Taylor, Jr., Rome, Roberto Taylor, Camden, Michael and Alice Taylor, Albemarle, NC, and David Taylor and his fiancé, Christine, Albemarle, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Donald Ianuzi, Binghamton; brother, Everett Taylor, Oneida; best friend Carmen Proia, Rome; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 8:15am at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, and St. Peter's Church at 9am. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
