Hall, 78, of Oriskany, passed away August 6, 2007 in Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was born February 23, 1929, in Binghamton, a daughter of Frank and Alberta Turvey Golden. She was a 1946 graduate of Rome Free Academy. On May 1, 1948, she married Morris Hall in Rome. He died January 15, 1999. Thelma worked for Mohawk Valley Oil for several years. She had previously worked at Sears Oil. She was an avid New York Yankee fan and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thelma is survived by a daughter Robin Siegfried, Oriskany, who took loving care of her; a son and daughter-in-law, Morris (Butch) and Cindy Hall, Chittenango; son-in-law, Scott Gillespie, Rome; a very dear friend, Kenny Brown; three grandchildren and their spouses, Rachel and Josh, Sherri and Danny, and Deana and Andy; six great-grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Spencer, Ryan, Danny, and Avina; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Gillespie, a sister, Dorothy Phair, and brother-in-law, Charlie Hall. Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment will take place in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
