Hi Connie, I only found out 2 min ago, I'm so for your loss. I was on the phone with my dad Bob Duffek talking about you so I looked you up. I have these images flashing before me as I type this being in your living room with him, we were just going to wander out in your backyard. Oh gosh Connie I am so very sad for your loss. Mr. Denchy and his lovely wife Judy were always very kind and supportive of myself and my brother Brian. Their home was always open to us and we were often invited to spend the night when we stayed to late. Bill would say "It's too late for you guys to drive home, you must sleep over. Connie or Ruth would get a room ready for us and it was always fun coming down to discover what they would prepare for breakfast! Bill was a mentor, an advisor, a friend. I have loved his family since I have met them. They are an important part of my history. Although I haven't seen Bill often over the past 20 years, he always said hello on Facebook and was always happy to talk with me if I called. The world is a bit smaller without him.

He loved you and your family. You became part of our extended family. Enjoyed sharing stories about worn my cousins would visit we have thise big barbecues! LOL so many great times. We were both blessed with great Fathers. I know they are all up in heaven together. Thank you for bringing your Mom to Daddy's service. Meant a lot to see you both

Some of us are lucky enough to have both a wonderful biological family and equally wonderful "friend families," who mean as much, or more, to us than blood relatives. Mr. Denchy served as a surrogate dad and celebrated many of my life's milestones - including prom with Ruth, driving me and Connie to college, my undergrad and master's graduation celebrations, holidays, and standing with us when we buried my grandmother, nephew, and my own father in 2022. While I am happy to know he didn't suffer, not having him with us anymore is going to be difficult. He will forever stand as a role model father, community member, Air Force officer, and friend. RIP

I knew Capt Denchy. He was always there for us maintenance troops. When my wife was very ill and had to be airvac to Washington DC for treatment Capt Denchy was instrumental in getting the USAF to diver ta C-9 medical plane to take her to Washington. I'll forever be grateful for that. RIP Capt until we meet again.

Bill and I never met in person, but thru Sharon, we became friends on FB. I sure did enjoy his posts of jokes, mems, and pictures. Bill had one of those smiles that made you smile. I could see it in the pictures. May you Rest in Peace. Heaven has another Angel that will watch over his loved ones.
