Taylor, 67, of 111 West Fox St., Rome, died May 28, 2007, at Stonehedge Nursing Home, in Rome. He was born December 13, 1940, in Rome, the son of Charles and Mildred Fleming Taylor. He attended Rome schools. Barney was employed by Oneida County as a custodian for 35 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Church. Surviving are three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Delores and Howard Babcock, Rome, Bessie Vlasko, Fayetteville, NC, and Phyllis and Ira Lyon, Rome; one brother and one sister-in-law, Richard and Frances Taylor, Hope Mills, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Cleo James; three brothers, Charles Taylor, Thomas Taylor, and Robert D. Taylor; and a special friend for 32 years, Betty Delp. Services: Funeral services will be held at 5 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made in Barney's memory to St. Peter's Memorial Fund.
