He was a member of St. Peter's Church. He was active in the Rome Area Boy Scouts, and the Rotary Club of Rome. He served on several boards including the Jervis Library Board of Trustees, the Utica Blue Cross/Blue Shield Board, Rome Savings Bank Board of Trustees, Marine Midland Bank Board, and the Central N.Y. David Poutasse; one sister-in-law, Marile Lynch; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved brother and best friend, Dr. Richard J. Lynch, in 2006.
