Obituary of Corey M. Michik

Corey M. Michik, 54, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He was born in Oneida on June 1, 1969, a son of William and Beatrice (Griffiths) Michik. He was a 1987 graduate of Rome Free Academy and earned an Associates Degree from Mohawk Valley Community College.

Corey was a former member of the Taberg Fire Department and New London Fire Department and was most recently a member of the McConnellsville Fire Department. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Camden I.O.O.B. He made several long-lasting friendships through these various groups and treasured them all.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Michik; two sisters, Robin Davis (Wayne) and Tammy Michik; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, William; and two brothers, Scott and Deanne Michik.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12^th at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316. Interment in Maple Hill Cemetery in Taberg will take place later this spring. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 12^th, prior to the service from 4-6:00 p.m.
