Obituary of Dorothy E. Compo

Dorothy E. Compo, 80, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Rome Health. She was born in Trenton, NJ, on December 16, 1943.

Dorothy worked for Birnie Bus Co. as a monitor for many years and she also worked as a home healthcare aide.

She is survived by her four children, Michael Schulhoff (Sharon), Linda Babcock (Robert), Roger Stoop (Melinda) and Albert Petrino (Betty); her grandchildren whom she loved, Jessica Babcock, Damion Babcock, and Heather, Bobby, Sarah, Phillip; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Stoop.

Dorothy was a resident of the Grand in Rome and everyone there that knew her, loved her. She also loved her Immanuel Baptist Church family. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6^th, at 6:30 p.m. at Immanual Baptist Church, 1006 W. Embargo St., Rome NY 13440 . There are no calling hours.
