Obituary of Beverly A. Robinson

Beverly A. Robinson, 86, of Rome, passed away on February 8, 2024, at Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. She was born in Rome on February 1, 1938, a daughter of the late Vernon and Elsie (McMullen) Sherman. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1956.

Bev worked for several area restaurants including Candy Land, San Carlos and Liberty Lane for many years. She later worked at Nora’s Candy where she enjoyed making their famous Turkey Joints.

Bev loved to travel to various casinos and liked to play bingo.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cheryl Robinson, Jr.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Robinson; three great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Xara and Lily; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean Lynne Robinson;  six sisters, Jeannie Sherman, Shirley Sbaraglia, Marilyn Fort, Norma Harvey, Phyllis Devore and Betty Sherman; and four brothers, William, Vernon, Gordon and Jack Sherman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 13^th at 6:00 p.m.  at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Interment will take place in Verona Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 3-6:00 p.m.
