Obituary of Donald L. Kotary

Donald L. Kotary, 64, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Wynn Hospital in Utica. Born in Rome on May 12, 1959, he was a son of Benjamin and Gloria (Ashley) Kotary.

Don was a contractor for many years. He worked for Riggle’s Construction, MacIntosh Box and Pallett Co. and TDR Log Homes.

Don loved cars, especially working on them in his garage while listening to Johnny Cash and Elvis Pressley.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Kotary; a daughter, Donna Kotary; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Gloria Wright (Wally Sr.) and Jeanette Myers; four great-nephews, Wally Wright, Jr., Ryan Wright, Ethan Myers and Dylan Myers; and a brother-in-law, Charles Brundage. He was predeceased by his father, Benjamin; and his sister, Terry Brundage.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 4-6:00 p.m.
