Obituary of Winifred C. Dunn

Please share a memory of Winifred to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On January 18, 2024 Winifred (Winnie) C. Dunn, was re-united with the love of her life, Raymond L. Dunn (passed away February 19, 2017) and to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with her loving family by her side.

Winnie was born November 5, 1932 in Redfield, NY, the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah Louise Fox Coltson. She graduated with the Class of 1950 from Camden High School, Camden, NY. On May 16, 1952 she married Raymond L. Dunn, in Camden, NY. She was a life-time member of the United Methodist Church, Camden, NY, where she actively participated as a member of the Senior Choir and the United Methodist Women’s Group. Winnie loved Bowling and was a member of the WIBC since 1950. She participated in the weight loss group, TOPS, for several years and was the recording secretary as well as represented the Camden Chapter on many conventions. Winnie retired, with 35 years of service from Fleet Bank, Camden, Rome Trust, Mohawk Acres, and Sylvan Beach Branches. In her later years she loved to color in the Adult Coloring books, which she would use as Christmas Cards with a Christmas Letter typed on the back. Without a doubt Winnie’s greatest passion was spending time with her children and their families.

Winnie is survived by her five children: Linda (John) Grant, Joan Dunn, all of Camden, Stephen (Dorcas) Dunn, Florence, LeRoy Dunn, USN Retired, Chesapeake, VA, Cynthia (Richard) Moses, Ft. Myers, FL; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Winnie was predeceased by a sister: Dorothy Evelyn Coltson.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to: Brookdale Clare Bridge Memory Care, Clinton, NY, Oneida Health ER and Hospital, SUNY Upstate Vascular Surgical and Palliative Care teams, Syracuse, NY, and Hospice of New Hartford for all their services during this difficult time.
