Obituary of Glenice R. Ketchum

Glenice R. Ketchum, 82, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was born in Rome on November 30, 1941, a daughter of the late Glenn and Rahel (Evans) VanDresar. She was a graduate of Holland Patent High School and on July 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Alvin E. Ketchum, a blessed union of 60 years. He passed away June 12, 2021.

Glenice was a devoted wife and mother who stayed home to raise her children and later went to work as a bookkeeper for Oneida County for many years. She was a member of the Westernville Presbyterian Church and was very active with the Floyd Seniors.

She is survived by a daughter, Andrea Hanan (John); a son, Rob Ketchum (Joycelyn Vardo); and four grandchildren, Jessie Fleury, Alex Mezza, Gabby Mezza (Steven Gerard) and Timothy Ketchum. She was predeceased by her brother, Steven VanDresar.

Funeral services will be held at  Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Thursday, December 28^th at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Floyd Cemetery.
