I just learned of Denny's passing. Sorry I did not come to the calling hours. I knew Denny from Planet Fitness. What a great guy, liked by everyone. Friendly, always with a smile on his face. He was very much like his brother Joe, also a great guy. Denny will be missed. Kevin O'Shea

I grew up down the road from the Ryans I remember roding the bus with Dennis & the older Ryan boys I was the only girl& they would ribb on me they lived at the end of the road they would pick up the Matts they walked to the end of the road to catch the bus picking up kids we all walked together they would pick us up we were the first house on the road at the time we all walked tje road together in the beginning we all road the station wagon bus ray Smith was the driver & then we had Joyce March those were the good ole days Debbie knaperek Frank

To the family, Dennis will be greatly missed. He was my soccer coach and church interpreter. I’ll always remember him as a kind-hearted, fun, and understanding person. He had a servant’s heart that was evident in the time, care, and dedication he gave to God and the deaf community. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart skipped a beat when I read of Coach Ryan’s passing. Coach was one of a kind; truly a servant of the community, and a wonderful guy. I had the good fortune to attend basketball clinics and play in travel tournaments with Coach at NYSSD. He taught me so much, and shared his love of basketball and his student/athletes with me. RIP to our couch Dennis Ryan!!! my heart is breaking. you will be greatly missed!!! NYSSD and I will miss you When I came in at NYSSD in 1998 to 2007, he was great coach , he always great lifeguard for swimming always there fun lot , he always let what students want do in pool or gym lot fun in swimming and gym too drive bus take us go out anywhere ice cream, fun joke and he share students some drink, he's great person, last time i saw him i was graduation and told him good bye and thanks for teach me how be strong and hard play have fun, I will praying for your family :-)

To the family of Dennis, Dennis was very important to me, so it's hard for me to say this. I went to school at NYSSD. I got my diploma in 1984. I tried to text Dennis and hoped that someone in the family could read this to him. "Please explain what this message says to Dennis. We've always been close, even though we've known each other for a long time. Dear Dennis, I will never forget the time we spent together. You were nice to me, and that made me a better person. I'll never forget that. I'll see you again in Heaven, Dennis. I love you. My name is Ann Marie, and Dennis knows that. Dennis never stopped talking about his family. He cared a lot about his family. I will always love remembering us... I miss him. Ann Marie Strom (Seeger)

RIP to our couch Dennis Ryan!!! my heart is breaking. you will be greatly missed!!! NYSSD and I will miss you When I came in at NYSSD in 2006, I first met him. I was like who are you? he was like he been wondering who I am. Then we finally real talk. then we know each other name. he always call himself “I am stronger” and i told him “yes you are” because we did play fake wrestle stand and he lets me to beat him lol. He always came in our dorm with smiling on his face good moods very hard working. he always take us to places,stores,fun trips, ice cream,etc a lot of different things. He is the one i can talk to easily. He teaches me the soccer,softball,basketball tournament, game, practice. He was really good coaching people and I. Many people loves him they would come to him. Hearing his laugh,smiling,happy to watching over us. He would say to me, “What’s up, Asia and how do you doing” then he gave me like handshake all of different types shake. 2015 I left NYSSD he would keep stay in touch with me and my family. He told us that he would come visiting us in Arizona but never did so i know he was busy. The last time I heard from him in 2021.
