Obituary of Jim Stine

James J. “Jim” Stine, Jr., 65, of Blossvale, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born in Syracuse on April 7, 1958, a son of the late James and Betty (Burton) Stine, Sr. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School and served in the United States Army as an MP from 1976-78. On May 25, 1991, he was united in marriage to Kim Harrington.

Jim was a general contractor for Cedar Bay Contracting for many years.

He loved his family and riding his Harley. He enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time at Lake Bonaparte.

Jim survived by wife, Kim, three daughters, Sheila Stine, Heather Harter (Josh) and Kaitlyn Stine (Scott); two sons, Bill Seamon (Heather) and Jimmy Stine, III; a brother, Michael Stine (Michelle); eight beloved grandchildren, Laney, Keegan, Joshua, Sydney, Jayden, Jacob, Alex and Bennett; special friend, Bonnie McCartney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Piper; and his canine companion, Levi.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 13th at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday from 4-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jim’s memory to Syracuse VA Behavioral Health Clinic, 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
