My dear friend from the teen years and on. Mark was the best friend. He was my "bus buddy" - we most often sat together on the bus in the Staley and RFA days. We would pass notes about our day which was the "old fashioned texting".
On Monday's we would hang out at the Colonial while Mark and others would clean and mop the floors. On Friday's in the nice weather, we would sit out in the blue Buick listening to tunes on the radio waiting for the "guys" to take a break from dish duty, etc.!! He would give a ride home in the winter on the snow mobile, we would wander the streets of Delta terrace talking and just hanging out. Fires down at the lake pondering the world. He would sometimes come and visit while I was babysitting just to pass the time once the kids were put to bed (TV only was on until like midnight). The bonds of those friendships remained over the years even though we all got married and raised our families. The friendship remained.
In the past few years, we would talk on the phone every now and then or we would text. It was good to reconnect and I was happy to have him over for dinner a few summers ago.
I will forever cherish my memories of my friend. He was all about friends and family. His love will continue on in his children and grandchildren.
