Obituary of Ronald M. Trificana

Ronald M. Trificana, DDS, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the Abraham House of Rome. Ron was the son of Fiori and Josephine (Scaccia) Trificana, born on November 27, 1942, in Rome Hospital. Ron graduated with honors from Rome Free Academy in 1960, the University of Southern California in 1964, and with honors from the University of Buffalo Dental School in 1968. Upon graduation he was commissioned a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy to fulfill his ROTC commitment. He served one year of active duty in Vietnam providing dental services in support of the combat troops.

Upon fulfilling his military commitment, he engaged in several entrepreneurial endeavors and civic activities in the Rome area. Ron is survived by his two children, Nicole Trificana of Utica and Justin Trificana of Paris, France; his beloved brother and caregiver, Roger Trificana of Rome and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Martha Trificana of Las Vegas, NV; one special maternal aunt, Jeanette Fumarola; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert Trificana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at St. John the Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 7th, prior to Mass from 12-1:00 p.m.
