Obituary of Ronald W. Lupinski
Ronald W. Lupinski, 86, of Blossvale, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023. Born in Verona on November 8, 1936, he was a son of the late Walter and Alberta (Ellinger) Lupinski. He was a 1954 graduate of Rome Free Academy and on August 27, 1955, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Weber.
Ron served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1959-1961.
He retired in 2005 after 40 years with the NYS DDSO.
Ron looked forward to deer season and hunting every fall with his sons and sons-in-law. He enjoyed being outdoors, tending to his flowers in the garden, feeding the squirrels and hummingbirds. He loved his dogs and was an avid card player, especially enjoyed pitch. He was also a big fan of the NY Yankees.
Surviving besides his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Jody and Allan Lupinski-McCall, Shari and Tom Doig and Michelle and Alan Donatello; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sue Lupinski and Scott and Nikki Lupinski; two brothers, Reg Webster (Rita) and Bob Webster (Jesse)nine grandchildren, Josh Lupinski (Kelly), Mandi Lupinski (Jason), Dakota and Wyatt Lupinski, Mariah, Karli and Taylir Doig, Dalton Nicol (Amber) and Mackenzie Nicol; three great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Hayley and Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a sister, Jayne Webster, and brother, Rod Webster.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Rathbunnville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY 13440, on Tuesday, June 6th from 4-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Rome, 6247 Lamphear Rd., Rome NY 13440.
