I am a better person for having met Pat. She was a real inspiration to me when it comes to working with students. We both put many years in working with kids, and compared lots of stories and advice for each other over the years. Pat was always a kind, funny, uplifting person to talk to. Many times when I was feeling stressed, i would go talk to her, even if it was only for five minutes, then I would leave feeling more like I could handle whatever the day had in store for me. You will be sorely missed my friend, and I am honored to be one of the many lives lives you had a positive influence on. Rest in Peace.

I met Patty one time years ago and I remember how warm and welcoming she was to me. I knew Patty vicariously through Sherry Vatilla Smith. I heard about their many hilarious childhood antics through the years. All I can say is that she had to be a great person to be so loved. I am certain she is at peace and healthy in Heaven.
