Obituary of Kimberly A. Turk

Kimberly A. Turk, 52, of Taberg, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Rome on July 22, 1970, she was a daughter of the late Vernon Walker and Molly (Satterly) Coonrod. She was a 1988 graduate of Camden High School and went on to nursing school, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse . Kim was an LPN with NYS Department of Corrections at Mohawk Correctional Facility.

Kim was a long-time member of the North Bay Fire Department and later the Williamstown Fire Department. She was also very active with North Star Cheer, serving as a coach and director of fundraising for the last several years. Kim loved crafting, especially ceramics and woodworking.

She is survived by her boyfriend, Jeffery Watkins; three children, Kristin Coonrod (Daniel), Kaenin Coonrod (Tessa) and Ronald Turk III (Trisha); a sister, Annette Wade (Ray); step-mother, Priscilla Buyea; step-children, Jacob Knight (Julie), Erica Watkins, Dustin Watkins (Danielle), Brienna Mehl (Travis) and Gregory Watkins (Melissa); fourteen grandchildren, Rorke, Ryatt, Ondreona, Andrew, Brandyn, Jacob, Haylee, Aiden, Ryker, Liam, Kinlee, Ellie and One; former husband, Ronald Turk Jr.; and nieces, nephews and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 10^th at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 4-6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kim’s memory to North Star Cheer, 2165 Woodside Dr., Camden NY 13316.
