My sincere condolences to you. Erna, The Cat Lady, will be greatly missed. We knew Erna through Weeden's Mini Mall. She became good friends with my wife Barbara. Erna facilitated several cat adoptions for us. We usually adopted the older cats that no one else wanted and gave them a happy retirement home. Erna took a liking to our son Jeremy as he drove SAAB cars at the time. We hadn't seen Erna in several years as we had moved away to be closer to our grandchildren. I was looking up Erna's address to let her know that my wife Barbara had passed but, I guess they're together in heaven catching up.

Erna, I LOVED coming to see you and time would always quickly pass, as we sat there talking and looking at the Moosebec Reach. You taught me about the Great Wass Island mushrooms, herbs, and other wonderful teas. I have been thinking about you. I will miss my Great Wass Island Neighbor. I had only known Erna for a few years.helping her in any way i could .enjoyed her stories of her childhood.and older years.the trips she went on and of coarse summers in Maine..i.ll miss our times together .Love Bonnie

Sending Erna’s family my condolences with lots of love and hugs. I met Erna as my son’s guidance counselor, where she demonstrated her knowledge of dealing with young people, compassion, and patience. I got to know her better through a mutual friend, Cleta. We exchanged cards and notes over the years. She will be surely missed. May her memory be for a blessing.

I met Erna more than 40 years ago when I was appointed to the Town of Lee Planning Board. Erna was the chairperson, and it was obvious from the start that the entire board leaned on Erna for guidance and direction on every issue. She had the unique ability to see the appeals before the board from all sides with a keen understanding of the regulations and compassion for the needs of the appellant. Her dedication and service to the Town of Lee for more than 30 years is without equal. We make a living by what we get but make a life by what we give. Erna’s selfless giving to her students, her community and her friends exemplifies a life well lived.

I grew up in Lee Center, Lived There For Almost 50 Years, And For Many Many Years, was privileged to have Erna as a Dear Neighbor Of My Mom And I, Right across the Street. SHE Was ALWAYS kind hearted, and ALWAYS There If We needed her.... WIth A Huge Warm Smile And Warm Heart♡ WE Hadn't Seen Her in many years, since Mom and I moved..... My Mom Passed Away In March..... And Now Mom And Erna WIll be catching up in Heaven ♡ Rest In Peace Erna...... God Bless You And All You Love....... I Will See You And Mom, My Dad and Brother, in Heaven Again ♡
