Obituary of Julius J. Deraway

Julius J. Deraway, Sr., 53, passed away on April 1, 2023. He was born in Rome on February 22, 1970, a son of the late Kay and Shirley (Tennant) Deraway.

Julius was a roofer for several local contractors for many years.

Julius liked to shoot pool and take off on his snowmobile in the winter. Family was everything to him, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Julius Jr. (Courtney) and Dakota; two step-children, Bradley and Ashley Vaughn; five sisters, Sherry Deyoung, Janet Baylor (Robert), Cindy Ashton, Bonnie Winslow and Jessica Voncannon; four brothers, Kay Jr., Vaughn, Jason (Lorna) and Daniel (Trudy); five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James.
