Obituary of Anne E Perry

Anne E. Perry, 84, of Kolton Dr., Rome, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Rome Health Hospital.

She was born on July 26, 1938, in Duane, NY, the daughter of Neil and Nellie (Clough) Kaufman.

On January 7, 1957, Anne was united in marriage to Edward V. Perry in North Bangor, NY.  While they were dating, Anne proudly supported Ed as he served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves.

Anne was employed as a quality control specialist for Rite Aid Distribution for twenty-seven years, retiring in 2000.  She was previously employed by UNIVAC where she made computer boards and prior to that, she worked for General Electric in Utica.

Anne was of the Catholic faith.  She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and Scrabble.  She looked forward to family celebrations and loved to travel.

Surviving besides her loving husband, Ed; are two daughters, Sharon Long, of Socorro, NM, and Shelene (Robert) Marcinkowski, of West Leyden; three grandchildren, Shannon (Robert), Kerianne, and Kimberly; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Shawn, Claire, Sev, and Corey; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Albert) Blinn, of Keeseville; and several nieces and nephews.  Anne was predeceased by her parents, Neil and Nellie; her daughter, Donna Perry; and a brother, Douglas Kaufmann.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, beginning with a prayer service at 10:15 AM at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Peter’s Church, Rome, where the Rev. Sean O’Brien will officiate.  Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Lee in the spring.  Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Anne’s memory to the Rome Humane Society.
