Obituary of William F Robinson

William F. Robinson, 73, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 11, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Rome on March 4, 1950, he was a son of the late Paul and Madeline (Cutler) Robinson. He was  a graduate of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School, Class of 1969.

Bill worked for the Rome City School District for over 20 years.

He loved the outdoors and spent many days enjoying his retirement fishing and camping.

He is survived by his significant other of 38 years, Brenda Dukett; a daughter, Melissa Darnell (Adam); two sisters, Barbara Lamphier and Betty Fisher (James); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters, Joanne Coonrod, Cora Harris and Madeline Parson; and two brothers, Joseph Lamphier and Edward Cutler.

Bill’s family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care and Rome Health ICU for their wonderful care and compassion and they would like to express their gratitude to his brother-in-law, Butch Dukett, who was always there with a positive attitude to help get Bill through each day.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15^th at 11:00 a.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery will take place in the spring.
