Obituary of Jeffrey W. Allen

Jeffrey W. Allen, 62, of Rome, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Albany Medical Center. Born in New Hartford on April 7, 1960, he was a son of William and Beverly (Gordon) Allen. He was  a graduate of Oriskany High School and on December 17, 1980, he was united in marriage to Andrea Hendricks.

Jeff served four years in the United States Army from 1981-1985.

He worked for several years at Oneida Limited until its closing. He also worked for Ferris and Family Dollar.

Jeff loved to go boating and fishing on Oneida Lake. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and made many visits to Maine. He was an avid New York Yankees and Syracuse Orange fan.

Surviving besides his loving wife of over 42 years, Andrea, is his mother, Beverly Allen;  two daughters, Jessica Douglas (Jonathan) and Aubrey Allen; two sons, Justin Allen (Alexis) and Joshua Allen; two brothers, Gordon Allen (Diane) and Dave Allen (Cindy); twelve grandchildren, Mallory Garcia, Nathan, Sarah and Leah Douglas, Hunter and Madison Allen, Alaynnah, Thomas and Miley Addison, Shawn Westcott Jr., Aubrianna Westcott and Giovanni Allen; one great-granddaughter, Rylee; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, William.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440.
