Obituary of Lois A. Foley

Lois A. Foley, 85, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18, 2023  at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rome. Born in Rome on December 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William and Mildred (Stewart) Metzger. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and was formerly married to the late Harold Foley.

Lois worked in accounts payable at Rome Cable for 36 years, retiring in 1992. She was formerly a member of St. Mary’s Church and McConnellsville Golf Club.  Her youthful days were inspired by her many travels with her beloved aunt and uncle, Raymond and Esther Metzger.

Lois is survived by four step-sons, Scot, Alan, Greg and Kirk (Donna) Foley; and an aunt, Esther Metzger.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
