Q: What will you never forget about Beverly?
A: the day she brought to our house her homemade delicious strawberry pie with a WHOLE WHEAT crust, as a thank you for helping at girl scout camp. We were fortunate and thankful to have a fearless RN with us. Beverly was strong and told us about rock climbing. The racoons tried relentlessly to steal our food by entering and slamming the door all night long. Beverly sat awake and watched over the camp. We believe she didn't sleep. There are many other cherished memories from so long ago: girl scout hikes, singing together especially "Day is done, gone the sun, from the east from the west, God is near". with love

It’s funny, meeting Bev as a high schooler I never called her by her name. She’s always been Doree’s mom. As a teenager we aren’t always able to appreciate the deeper layers of people, especially parents. Bev, however, was so bright and confident in herself that you felt pulled to her. I always wanted to hang with Doree’s mom. She set an inspiring example that being a mom never has to limit you. She was strong, intelligent, active, thoughtful, loving and and amazing cook. She was also hilarious. Knowing how Monty Python cracked Doree and I up, Bev one day answered the door with a line from the show. It’s one of those moments that has stayed with me all my life and has always made me chuckle. “Sorry I can’t shake your hand, I just finished putting lard on the cat’s boil” (insert cockney accent). My time with Bev was short and long ago, although, I was able to visit periodically over the years. Her brightness never diminished and she has stayed with me throughout my life as a source of comfort, love and hilarity. It’s a gift to have known her. I’m so very sorry for your loss.

Bob and family, I am so saddened to learn Bev's passing, but know she is in a better place, has no pain or suffering and is with Our Lord. No words can remove the void you are feeling. Try to recall all the great memories you shared during your beautiful journey together. Mrs. Alessi is definitely part of my childhood memories. She would be walking Nikki and I would be practicing piano. She would stop and listen while standing in our circular driveway. She would clap so loudly when I was finished. My condolences to the family.
