She was born March 11, 1917, in New Haven, CT, the daughter of Stanley and Antonia Putzak Pietrusewsky. She was educated in Boonville schools. On October 14, 1931 she married Stanley Ziankoski in St. Michael's on Mohawk Hill. He died July 11, 1972. Julia worked at Herb Phillipson's Army and Navy Store, retiring in 1987. She had previously worked at Rome Manufacturing. Julia was a member of St. Peter's Church. Surviving are one daughter, Sally Muszynski, Rome; two sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Lamoine, Rome, and Robert J. and Sandi, Sumpter, SC; a sister, Helen Pfendler, Boonville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kazmir Dale and Josephine Golden, and a brother, Michael Pietrusewsky. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00am at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., and 10:30am at St. Peter's. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
