Obituary of Janette I. Blanchard

Janette I. Blanchard, 84, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Malone, NY, on August 29, 1938, a daughter of the late William and Florida (Revette) Russell. On September 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Joseph Blanchard.

Janette worked at Jet Cleaners for many years. She loved to spend time in the garden and play Bingo.

Surviving besides her loving husband of 65 years, Joe, is a daughter, Kimberly Bean (Kenneth); two sons, Joseph Blanchard, Jr. (Heather) and Dale Blanchard; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20^th at 6:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery in the spring. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 4-6:00 p.m.
