Obituary of Virginia L. Anton

Virginia L. Anton, 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Bethany Gardens. She was born in New York Mills, NY, on November 19, 1930, a daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Anton. She was a graduate of New York Mills High School.

After graduation, Virginia went to work as for the Department of Defense at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. She retired after 37 years as a contract specialist.

She is survived by special friends, Carol and Louis Ceci.

Carol and Lou would like to thank the 1^st Floor staff at St. Luke’s Hospital and the staff at Bethany Gardens, especially Nurse Natalie, for their wonder care and compassion during Virginia’s time of need.

A Memorial Mass at St. John the Baptist Church will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours. Please consider a donation in Virginia’s memory to your favorite charity.
