Obituary of Daniel M. Holt

Daniel M. Holt, 64, of Blossvale, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Oneida Health. Born in Utica on September 4, 1958, he was a son of the late Joan Holt. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and served in the United States Navy from 1975-83. On July 31, 1994, he was united in marriage to Sheri House.

Dan worked for Exelon Nuclear Power Company and lived in Iowa for many years. He was an avid gun collector and enthusiast. He was a member of the NRA. He also loved muscle cars.

Surviving besides his wife, Sheri, is a sister, Melissa Smith (Robert); three nieces, Natasha VanSanford (Brandon), Jackie Smith (Kayla) and Ally Holt; two nephews, Anthony Gary and Christopher Holt; and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gary Holt; his step-father, John Dulan; and in-laws, Clarence and Beatrice House.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 4:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY 13440. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home Saturday prior to the service from 2-4:00 p.m.
