Obituary of Deborah N. Finegan
Deborah Nancy Finegan, 72, of East Amherst, NY, and formerly of Taberg, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Canastota on March 28, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Vivian (Duell) Finegan. Debby graduate in 1968 from Camden High School and went on to earn a BA from the University of Buffalo.
Debby had a lifelong career in the industrial distribution industry. She was an active member of the New York State Women Inc. (formerly Business and Professional Women of NYS), actively serving in activities/fundraisers benefitting and helping women. She served Region 8 of Western NY as assistant Regional Director and later Region 8 Director.
Debby had a vibrant spirit; her smile and laughter would light up a room with positive energy. She loved animals and road trips; visiting state parks, the countryside and waterfronts. She loved to quilt, sew and knit to create beautiful works of art, many of which were donated to charitable organizations.
Debby is survived by her sister, Patricia LaMonte; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Thomas and Cathie Finegan and James Finegan; her Godson, Chris Narolis; several nieces and nephews; several close cousins and relatives; and her special group of Buffalo friends, including Janet McArthur, Karen Delius and Linda Winnicki.
Debby’s family would like to thank the staff at Buffalo General Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 4th at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Taberg. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden, NY 13316, on Thursday, November 3rd from 4-6:00 p.m.
