Obituary of Linda J Campany

Linda J. Campany, 67, of Verona, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 2, 1954, in Rome, the daughter of Raymond (Gladys Oschowski) Waliszewski.  Linda was a 1972 graduate of Veron-Verona-Sherrill High School.

On August 23, 1980, Linda was united in marriage to James J. “Jim” Campany.  Jim passed away on May 3, 2021.

Linda, along with her husband, Jim, owned and operated Campany Roofing in Oneida for many years.  They also owned and operated Pop-A-Top bar in Oneida up until recently.

She attended St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.  Jim and Linda loved to vacation to Key West, FL, and would travel there as often as they could.  They also attended many Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts.

Surviving are two children, Patsi Campany (Jonathan Coleman), of Verona, and Charlie (Liz) Campany, of San Francisco, CA; a step-son, Jason Caperton, W. Palm Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Landin Tarantino, Callan Tarantino, Haven Coleman, Breslin Coleman, Cole Campany, Camille Campany, and Camdyn Caperton; three siblings, Donna (Rick) Fallon, of Queensbury, Bonny Waliszewski, of Rome, and Russell (Sharon) Waliszewski, of Townsend, MA; and several nieces, nephews, and an extended in-law family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.  Family and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, prior to the service, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Rome Polish Home.  Y
