Obituary of Joanna R. Sasenbury

Joanna R. Sasenbury, 67, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at MVHS St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Born in Oneida on  November 12, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Joslyn) Fox. On August 29, 2008, she was united in marriage to Warren Sasenbury. He passed away August 17, 2014.

Joanna was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for many years and most recently worked for Heritage Care in Clinton, NC.

She loved being a “Mema” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joanna is survived by a daughter, Roxanne Baulf-Fox (Jay); two sons, Stephen Baulf (Kassie) and Dale Baulf (Melissa); a brother, James Fox (Laurie); eleven grandchildren, Savannah, Mecca, Shyanne, Samantha, Brittnee, Nathan, Caven, Zachary, Brooklynn, Dallas and Kelsey; and eleven great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Kelly Wishart and Jesse and Jason Chapple; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Kevin and Scott Baulf; two sisters, Linda and Betty; and four brothers, Thomas, David, Frank and William.

Joanna’s family would like to thank the staff in the Neo-Vascular Unit and ICU, along with Dr. Scott Brehault, for their amazing care and compassion.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 26^th at 2:30 p.m. at McConnellsville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden, NY 13316, on Monday prior to the service from 12-2:00 p.m.
