Obituary of Marlene M. Smith

Marlene Mae Marshall Smith, 66, of Westdale, NY, went to Heaven on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Born in Rome on July 17, 1956, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Fetterly) Marshall. She attended Camden Schools and on November 24, 1973, she was united in marriage to Thomas Smith and together they made their home in Westdale.

Marlene worked several years with the Westdale Summer Program and R.C.I.L., taking care of people in their homes. Marlene was a Christian and loved her family dearly.

Surviving besides her loving husband of 49 years, Tom, are two children, Tonya Tucker and Eric Smith; a sister, Shirley Dupre; a brother, Dale Marshall (Dale); five cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie Tucker, Kayla Tucker (Devon), Tea Hyde, and Haylie and Harper Smith; two sisters-in-law, Sue Marshall and Shirley Marshall; special sister-in-law, Kay Johnson; best friends, Susan, Vonny, Keitha, and Connie; two Godchildren, Billie Jo Janes and Ryan Marshall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Stacy Smith; two sisters, Pauline Smith and Betty Marshall; and eight brothers, William, Hamilton, Robert, Kenneth, Roger, Leslie, Clayton and Carl Marshall.    

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Westdale Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 133616.
