Obituary of Kathleen Leyva

Kathleen M. Leyva, 75, of Camden, NY and longtime resident of Verona, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Rome Health. She was born May 21, 1947, in Rome, NY, the daughter of William and Agnes Donlon.

She was a passionate caregiver who took care of her mother until her passing and then fostered several children over the years who needed a good and loving home.

She is survived by her son, Antonio Leyva, Jr.; brother, Dale Pannuzio; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Denny Bloss; special great-great-nephew, Tanner Lukacz; nephew, Raymond Donlon; niece, Sue Mendoza; great-nieces and their spouses, Brittany Pfaff and Matthew Malakie and Sharyl and John VanRiper, Jr.; and great-great-nieces, Aeris VanRiper and Annika Malakie; and many other cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Bill J. Leyva.

Graveside services will be held  on Friday, September 9^th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Irish Ridge Road in Verona. A Celebration of Life for Kathleen will be at a later date.
