Obituary of Vincent S. DiMaggio

Vincent S. DiMaggio, Jr., 67, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford. Born in Oneida on November 23, 1954, a son of Vincent and Anna (Rice) DiMaggio. He was a 1973 graduate of Rome Free Academy and in 1977 he was united in marriage to Vickie Consiglio.

Vinny retired from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department after many years of service. He was a member of the Kekis morning coffee club and enjoyed visiting with his dear friends, Richard Destito, Fred Nackley and John Vero. He loved spending time with family, especially with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Anna DiMaggio; three children, Vincent S. DiMaggio, III, Nicole Genovese (James) and Alexandra Edinger (Frederick); a sister, Karen Keller (Greg); three brothers, Stephen (Diana), Joseph (Lisa) and Marc (Bettina); three grandchildren, Roman, Natalie and Cameron; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Vincent.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 28^th at 4:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St, Rome, NY 13440. Family and   friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 28^th prior to the service from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
