Obituary:Paul A. Mull, 62, of 6471 State Rt. 46, Durhamville, New York, died Monday,December 17, 2007 at his residence.
He was born January 11, 1945 in Morganton, North Carolina the son of Nesterand Margaret Catello Mull.
Paul was a graduate of Rome Free Academy.
On September 4, 1966 he married Irene Archer in Rome. She died January 29,
1997.
He was employed at Rome Strip Steel for over thirty-five years retiring in 2000.
Mr. Mull was a life member of the New London Volunteer Fire Department. He held the position of Captain of the Fire Police for several years. He volunteered much of his time with their charity events. Paul was also a volunteer for the DDSO.
Paul was a avid hunter and fisherman and was formerly active in bowling and softball with Rome Strip Steel. He was avid movie goer and a great fan of John Wayne. Paul enjoyed attending his granddaughters numerous concerts, dance recitals and musicals. Paul was a very proud grandfather.
Surviving are his mother of Rome; one daughter, Tina Mull, with whom he resided in Higginsville, five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Patricia Fletcher and Louise and Lee Brown, all of Rome; Lucille and Christopher Steed, Indianapolis, Indiana; ; Audrey and Louis Gisondi, Rome; Kathleen and Hank Miglianti, Sylvan Beach; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Norma Mull, Sour Lake, Texas; his beloved granddaughter, Chantal Brundage, his companion of nine years, Gail Carey and several nieces, nephews and god children. He was predeceased by his brother, Leonard and father, Nester.
Funeral services will be held at the Friday 9:00A.M. at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome. Interment Lee Valley Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4:00P.M. to 8:00P.M.
