Cheryl A. (Izzo) Oswell joined Jesus in Heaven on Friday, May 13, 2022. Born in Rome she was the daughter of Orlando and Julia (Aiello) Izzo. Cheri was a great mother, wife and truly wonderful friend to all. She always tried to find the good in everyone she met. Cheryl is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Ralph; two daughters, Lori Swancott and Julie Kilts; two grandchildren, Jacob Swancott and Jillian Kilts; her mother, Julia Izzo; her brother, Martin Izzo; sister-in-law, Jane Izzo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Orlando, and her brother, Carmine. Cheri was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Church and she was very active with her alumni class at RFA where she helped to plan every reunion up to the 50th. Cheryl’s family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care ,especially Joe and Irene, Nascentia, Sherry and Brandi, for their wonderful care and compassion over the last few months. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at 7:00 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 4-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Cheryl’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation of NY and NJ Chapter, Attn: Donor Services, 200 SE 1st St., Miami, FL 33131.
