William Michael "Mike" Van Allen passed away April 15, 2022, following a long battle with multiple health issues. Mike was born August 7, 1947, in Hornell, NY, and grew up in Canisteo, NY.
Mike served 20 years in the United States Air Force with pride and honor, retiring as a Master Sargent in Rome, NY.
Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cindy; a son, Mike Jr. and wife Missy Van Allen and their children Kendra, Carley, Jenna and Lucas; and a daughter, Kimberly and her husband Eric Henry and their children Keri, Emma, Alexa and Christopher.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman, animal lover and vintage car enthusiast.
In honor of his wishes, there were no public services.
Arrangements were entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome, NY 13440.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Mike
