Obituary of Alice D. Wierzbicki

Alice Margaret (Duda) Wierzbicki, 96, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Rome on April 16, 1925, a daughter of Andrew and Tillie (Lach) Duda. On May 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to Stanley M. Wierzbicki. He passed away on October 10, 2010. Alice helped her husband run the family dairy farm. In retirement, she enjoyed driving around and sight-seeing, doing puzzles, playing scrabble, tending to her garden and visiting with family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was a long-time member of All Saints Polish National Catholic Church. Alice is survived by three children, Alan Wierzbicki (Janine), Michael Wierzbicki and Lori Carnevale (Matt); eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Amelia Focht and Sophia Ratlo; and two brothers, Adolf and Thomas Duda. Graveside services at All Saints Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Rome will take place in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
